About KVPY
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a government scheme in India to promote research in the field of vaigyanik science. The scheme was launched in February 2014 with an initial outlay of Rs. 1,000 crore. The scheme is aimed at promoting research in all aspects of vaigyanik science, including the understanding of the nature of matter, energy, space, time, and the universe; the development of new technologies; and the promotion of education and training in vaigyanik science. The scheme is also intended to support the development of vaigyanik institutions and the training of vaigyanik scientists.

- KVPY : Online Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Examination Details
- Aptitude Test: The KVPY exam is an aptitude test assessing analytical and logical abilities.
- Subjects: The exam covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
- Duration: The exam duration is 3 hours.
- Question Paper: The question paper is divided into two parts, Part I and Part II. Marks Distribution: Part I: Students must attempt any three sections from Part 1 (20 x 3 = 60 marks). Part II: Students must attempt any two sections from Part 2 (20 x 2 = 40 marks).
- Negative Marking: There is negative marking for incorrect answers. Part I: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect response. Part II: 0.5 points deducted for each incorrect response.
